Mr. Murphy is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. A graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, he worked as law clerk to the justices of the New Hampshire Superior Court, where one of his supervising judges was current United States Supreme Court Justice David Souter. He began practicing law in 1982 with Bianco, Brandi & Jones and opened his own firm in 1999. A respected and effective litigator, Mr. Murphy has been selected as a Super Lawyer, one of the Best Lawyers in America, and one of the top plaintiff's employment attorneys in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Recorder newspaper. Mr. Murphy has handled numerous Family Medical Leave and disability discrimination cases and maintains an extensive site on employee leave issues at sick-leave.com.. Mr. Graham has been an associate of the firm since April of 2006. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, in 2004 he received his J.D. Magna Cum Laude from Hastings College of the Law. While at Hastings Mr. Graham served on the Hastings Law Journal and externed at the California Court of Appeal, First District. Before coming to the Law Offices of Stephen M. Murphy, Mr. Graham worked at Rudy, Exelrod and Zieff, L.L.P. representing plaintiffs in both individual and class action employment cases. |
